Civil society; includes any and all kinds of subjects pertaining to social life ranging from the claims raised with regard to the establishment of concepts like “democracy”, “human rights” and “state of law” to the concerns related to the economy in the agenda, while at the same time discussing them, creating projects from them and motivating the authorized and influential managers “on behalf of the society”.. If we assume the concept of civilization as “institutionalized ethics”, then according to our ethical understanding we cannot exclude the concept of “solidarity” from the aforementioned issues.
A great number of non-governmental organizations operating in today’s world, have been working in line with such objectives and targets. These non-governmental organizations, not only need to be more effective over the regional public they represent and have influence on, within the framework of democracy, tolerance, peace and love, but also are in need of communication and solidarity among themselves. The lack of an effective and adequate cooperation and communication network among the regional and international non-governmental organizations up until today constitutes a serious problem.
USTKIP (Development and Cooperation Platform for International Non-governmental) has been founded with the purpose of bringing together the non-governmental organizations that are active in areas possessing such awareness while also needing it, under a supra-identity so that they can act jointly towards common objectives.
Gathering regional or international non-governmental organizations under its roof, USTKIP has formed study groups in areas including humanitarian aid, development aids, educational-cultural activities, as well as health, environment and international relations. Therefore, the non-governmental organizations will be able to engage in the communication and cooperation facilities they have been longing for by integrating their knowledge and experiences under USTKIP.
In today's world of conflicts and chaos, the need for a strong cooperation and communication among the societies struggling against wars, internal conflicts, natural disasters, starvation and poverty, creates a great responsibility for non-governmental organizations. We would like to present USTKIP's mission in this context to the global public opinion.

Non-governmental organizations play significant role in terms of establishing and improving democracy in a country, creating amicable relations and interaction between the people experiencing communication gap due to inter-state political problems, as well as developing common principles and targets.
In a world witnessing extraordinary agitations, the need for conciliation between civilizations and global peace have become even more evident.
Without doubt, conciliation between civilizations, global peace, a culture of dialogue and tolerance, democracy and peace; educational, urgent and humanitarian aids, and cultural cooperation will take place with the effective works of non-governmental organizations. It is essential that a common working ground and coordination among non-governmental organizations located both in and outside Turkey, is established.
It is even compulsory today, that the non-governmental organizations providing services on international scale both in the world and in our cultural geography, cooperate in cultural, social and economic areas.
In a world where there are no more borders, it is crucial that non-governmental organizations interact, prepare joint-projects and receive support and help from each other.
The dialogues and tolerance between different languages, religions and ethnicities can only be improved if the cooperation and communication among non-governmental organizations are developed.
There is an urgent need for establishing a platform allowing the non-governmental organizations to expand their activities, forming a common ground for these to operate internationally, as well as mutually communicate and cooperate.
Similarly, upon realization of a global solidarity and cooperation between the non-governmental organizations, it would be possible to classify these according to their service-objectives, and to form international standards. Thus, the non-governmental organizations within the same area of work will be able to interact and work more efficiently.
